Poems for Grenfell Tower

Poems for Grenfell Tower will be published by The Onslaught Press and launched on Sunday, 15 April at the Harrow Club, 187 Freston Rd., W10 6TH – doors 14:30 start 15:00. Admission free with a collection for Grenfell United.

Among the poets will be several with close connections to the Lancaster West estate, including Alemu Tebeje, who lives there, Christine Barton, a former head teacher at the local nursery school, who will also MC the launch, and Ricky Nuttall, a Battersea firefighter who attended the disaster.

As well as poetry the event will feature protest singer Robb Johnson and the Nostalgia Steel Band, which is based at the Maxilla Club. The Mayor of London and other public figures have been invited – further details TBA.

The royalties, and collections taken at readings, will all go to Grenfell United’s Grenfell Foundation, at their request.
