Latimer Community Art Therapy Trust

Art Therapy is a psychological therapy involving both verbal communication and communication through art and play. The sessions provide a private, non-judgmental space in which children, adolescents and adults can express and process their feelings and experiences. The use of art to contain the things so hard to make sense of has been fundamental to the community throughout.

All the Art Psychotherapists are fully qualified at MA level, HCPC registered and DBS vetted. The therapy team are now well known to the community and provide consistent, contained ongoing support.

Susan Rudnik – local resident on Henry Dickens Estate and Art Psychotherapist – set up the art therapy spaces in the community as a response to the tragedy at Grenfell. The first space was at Henry Dickens Estate and the work expanded to local primary schools, nurseries, adult services and four other community hubs. Through the help of funders Thomas’s School Foundation, The Teapot Trust, Vout-O-Renees gallery and children’s services the art therapy services will continue long term in the community.

Sessions can be accessed by drop in or individual work can be set up as needed within the community spaces.
